**A book sling is the perfect little home for books in your child's nursery or playroom! They allow the covers of your books to be seen, instead of just the book spines like on a regular book shelf. Put them close the ground and your little one will be able reach for his favorite bedtime story.
Think outside the box! A book sling would look great in your living room or bathroom holding your favorite magazines.
Win this giveaway and you'll receive one large fabric book sling that is 7" tall and 36" long in your choice of fabric from their shop. Good Luck!*

So Karmen & I were laughing last night I had said on Facebook I was baking Salt dough ornaments & she had planned to put the recipe on the blog which she did :) We both found different recipes mine called to bake at 200 degrees for 4-6 hours I baked mine for 5 hours so I planned this to be a 2 day deal we have been painting some of the 18 ornaments it made lol! Yes alot, but we plan to give to some family & friends :) I will say that I had to add more flour than it calls for they say it should be like consistency of pie crust mine was too runny/sticky so I added more flour till it was easier to handle & it worked out. Here is a pic of some of the ornaments we have been working on this morning still have many more to go lol!! Hope you can make some of these with your loved ones they are quite fun! Aiden sure enjoyed helping me roll & cut out the dough but he is really enjoying painting today :) -Candice-

Hello Ladies. Its been a while since I have written. I am sorry. I have been so busy the past month doing a little bit of everything. I can say I am very far ahead on Christmas shopping, although by black Friday I am normally done. I wont be this year. I will be finish around the 1st week of December. We have tons of stuff bought for the kids & most of the families done. We just have a few things here and there we will pick up. We dont buy gifts for each other. We would rather buy for the kids and family. We can buy for each other at any given time. & we just enjoy the time together.
Today was Turkey Day-Thanksgiving. We had our first Thanksgiving in our house, and my first Thanksgiving I ever cooked. My mom helped also by preparing a lot of the side dishes. It was such a blessing to have her help. A HUGE blessing for all the recipes from my grand mothers. It was a success, and I look forward to many more Thanksgiving here as a family.
We have had our Christmas tree up for about 2 weeks now. Its so beautiful. I cant take my eyes off of it everytime I walk by. Dailee luckily hasnt messed with it. Ever time she gets close to it I just say no, and believe it or not she walks away. I hope I havent spoken to soon. We have all our presents for the family under there and she has wanted to get into the bags, and bows. So I know this year's Christmas is going to be wonderful for her. Riley is so excited. Of course this year we are working hard teaching him the reason for the season is all about Jesus. & We give give as much as we can, and never expect anything in return. Its so hard for him. He has always gotten what he has wanted and much more (yes, I have spoiled him... along with the rest of our family) but we are trying our best to help him understand. Christmas is such a great time of the year, and by far my favorite Holiday. I am going to try my best to atleast keep you up to date on our lives once a week. Sometimes I may not get to it, but as soon as I do I will update! :)
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! I hope you all enjoy this wonderful holiday with your family or friends!! Since we always go back home for Christmas we stay in NC for Thanksgiving we have created a little tradition with some great friends so they will be coming over to our house to eat with us! I am Thankful that my husband is not deployed for the 2nd Thanksgiving in a row. I am so grateful that he is non-deployable for a little bit longer :) We did alot of prep work yesterday, but I can not wait to get that turkey in the oven & have my house smell like Thanksgiving!! Have a wonderful day everyone & will post tomorrow :) -Candice-
